Stew Sallo AKA, The Deadhead Cyclist, is the founder/owner of Boulder Weekly, an award-winning alternative weekly in its 30th year of publication in print and online at BoulderWeekly.com. He has been a Deadhead since the summer of 1974, attended his first Grateful Dead concert at Winterland in San Francisco on October 19, 1974, and has since been to some 200 Grateful Dead concerts. He is an avid mountain biker and plays competitive baseball in seven states, including his home state of Colorado. In 2003, Stew founded the classic rock band, Hindsight. He has written extensively about the Grateful Dead, most notably in the Huffington Post in connection with the Grateful Dead’s 50th Anniversary “Fare Thee Well” concerts.

"The lyrics of the Grateful Dead are words of religion for many of the band’s dedicated fans. Thank you, Stew, for taking these words to live by and organizing them in a way that makes it simple and fun to dive into and explore, just like a great adventure on a bike. Readers are definitely going to enjoy the Ride, Ride, Ride!!!”

-Peter Shapiro, concert promoter (including Fare Thee Well Tour), publisher and author of The Music Never Stopped
